Ratings: “American Horror Story: Hotel” Falls Sharply in Week Two

The previous four “American Horror Story” installments suffered week two drops in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” experienced the same second week decline.

Per Nielsen cable data, Wednesday’s episode drew a 2.15 adults 18-49 rating with 4.061 million total viewers. The numbers markedly trail those of last week’s season premiere, which scored a 2.99 with 5.807 million viewers.

Wednesday’s broadcast also trailed the second “Freak Show” and “Coven” episodes. The October 15, 2014 “Freak Show” drew a 2.26 rating with 4.527 million viewers, while the October 16, 2013 “Coven” posted a 2.5 with 4.513 million.

Despite the week-over-week and year-over-year declines, Wednesday’s “Hotel” still ranked as the night’s #1 cable program in adults 18-49. Its viewership mark trailed only that of the 8PM MLB playoff game (5.944 million).
