Keith Urban’s “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” Claims #1 at Country Radio

Keith Urban is back atop the country radio mountain.

The veteran artist’s latest trip to #1 comes courtesy single “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.” The song, which was last week’s runner-up, ascends to the top spot on this week’s Mediabase country radio singles chart.

In addition to posting the greatest number of Mediabase chart points, “John” was also the Mediabase country panel’s most-played and most-heard song during the September 20-26 tracking week.

Urban’s tune received ~8,824 tracking week plays (+747) and 58.675 million weekly audience impressions (+5.765 million).

In reaching #1, “John” seizes the throne from Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat.” That breakthrough tune slips to #5 this week.

Kenny Chesney’s “Save It For a Rainy Day” (#2, +1), Brett Eldredge’s “Lose My Mind” (#3, +1) and Luke Bryan’s “Strip It Down” (#4, +2) also appear within the Top 5.
