“HTGAWM” Star Viola Davis Takes Home Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy

The star of ABC’s freshman drama “How To Get Away With Murder” is dramatic television’s Outstanding Lead Actress.

Viola Davis, who plays Professor Annalise Keating on the show, won the Lead Actress in a Drama trophy at Sunday’s 67th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony.

Davis topped Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Claire Danes (Homeland), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), and Robin Wright (House of Cards) for this year’s award.
