Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” Ranks as Rhythmic Radio’s Most-Added Song

While it was unable to top Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” and Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” at pop radio, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” grabs the top spot on Mediabase’s rhythmic radio add board.

The song received a healthy 43 rhythmic adds in conjunction with its official impact. That gives it an edge over Drake’s new single “Hotline Bling,” which earned weekly pickups from 37 Mediabase-monitored rhythmic stations.

Picked up by 31 stations, Justin Bieber’s new “What Do You Mean?” debuts as rhythmic radio’s third-most-added song. Nicki Minaj’s “Trini Dem Girls” follows as fourth-most-added courtesy its 23 weekly pickups.

Support from 9 stations establishes Shy Carter’s “Bring It Back (featuring Aleon Craft)” as fifth-most-added.
