Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Headed For Top 5 at Pop Radio

“Cool for the Summer” is on track to thrust Demi Lovato back into pop radio’s Top 5.

According to Mediabase, “Cool for the Summer” received 3,520 plays during the first two days of the August 23-29 tracking week. Up 14.5% from last week’s mark, the tally earns “Cool” the #5 spot on Mediabase’s building pop radio airplay chart.

If it can retain that spot for the duration of the tracking period — and all indications are that it will — it will become the fourth Top 5 pop hit of Lovato’s career.

She previously reached the region with “Give Your Heart a Break” (#1 peak), “Heart Attack” (#5 peak), and “Neon Lights” (#5 peak).

“Cool for the Summer” is concurrently tracking within the Top 15 at Hot AC radio and the Top 30 at the rhythmic and adult contemporary formats.
