Ratings: “Lip Sync Battle” Surges for Terrence Howard vs. Taraji P. Henson

While it did not deliver “Empire”-level numbers, Thursday’s Terrence Howard vs. Taraji P. Henson edition of “Lip Sync Battle” drew markedly improved ratings.

Thursday’s battle, which aired over two episodes, drew a 0.67 adults 18-49 rating with 1.384 million total viewers from 10-10:32PM and a 0.71 with 1.424 million viewers from 10:32-11:03PM.

The numbers comfortably top those drawn by last week’s Iggy Azalea vs. Nick Young edition, which scored a 0.49 in adults 18-49 and reached 1.027 million viewers.

This week’s second episode was the best-rated “Lip Sync Battle” since the May 28 Queen Latifah vs. Marlon Wayans broadcast (1.00 in adults 18-49, 1.91 million). It was the most-watched installment since the July 16 Deion Sanders vs. Justin Bieber (0.68, 1.477 million).

The first part of this week’s double-header was the best performer since the Bieber-Sanders episode in both regards
