Last week, Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” won adds from 72 Mediabase-monitored pop stations. It ranked as the pop format’s most-added song.
This week’s add count was not as significant, but it was still sizable. More importantly, it was once again the greatest for a pop song.
“Love Myself” scored a format-leading 46 monitored adds this week.
The latest wave of support will allow “Love Myself” to continue its airplay surge. The song, which is being supported by the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, claimed the #28 spot on this past week’s Mediabase pop chart. It is already #25 on the current week’s building chart.
The Weeknd’s “The Hills,” which earned a Top 40 position on this week’s pop airplay chart, follows as the week’s second-most-added song. It won support from 31 monitored stations.
Picked up by 30 stations, R. City’s soaring “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine)” follows as pop’s third-most-added song. Little Mix’s “Black Magic” claims fourth-most-added on the strength of its 28 pickups, while One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” add count of 21 ranks as pop radio’s fifth-greatest.
Other notable pop options: Disclosure’s “Omen (featuring Sam Smith)” (17 adds, 6th-most-added), Fifth Harmony’s “In Love With a Monster” (16, 7th, tie), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Growing Up” (featuring Ed Sheeran) (16, 7th, tie), A Great Big World’s “Hold Each Other (featuring Futuristic)” (15, 9th, tie), Alessia Cara’s “Here” (15, 9th, tie), and Robin Thicke’s “Back Together (featuring Nicki Minaj)” (15, 9th, tie).
