Fall Out Boy’s “My Songs Know” Goes 5X Platinum, “Uma Thurman” Now Platinum

“My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” which served as Fall Out Boy’s 2013 comeback single, has earned a new multi-platinum label from the RIAA.

The single, which appeared on the band’s “Save Rock and Roll,” has been officially certified 5X platinum.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s Digital Singles program, a 5X platinum distinction confirms a US unit total of at least 5 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

“My Songs Know,” which was also retroactively certified 4X platinum on July 27, was not the only Fall Out Boy tune to receive good news. Current single “Uma Thurman” also received a new label from the RIAA.

The single, which is climbing at pop and Hot AC radio, has gone platinum.
