Solid weekly airplay gains thrust Foals’ “Mountain at My Gates” and Muse’s “Mercy” into the Top 30 on Mediabase’s alternative radio airplay chart.
Spun ~482 times during the August 2-8 tracking week (+136), “Mountain” reaches #28 on this week’s edition of the chart. It was #33 on last week’s issue.
“Mercy,” meanwhile, cruises eight places to a new high of #29. It received ~456 tracking week plays (+219).
“Mountain at My Gates” was the alternative format’s eighth-greatest weekly airplay gainer (+136). Muse’s “Mercy” posted the week’s second-greatest lift (+219); only Cold War Kids’ surging #6 “First” (+241) enjoyed a bigger week-over-week gain.
