After spending a week as the format’s second-most added song, Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” returns to the top of the hot adult contemporary add board.
According to Mediabase, “Cool for the Summer” won pickups from 23 monitored stations this week. That support level allows it to reclaim the most added distinction that it previously earned on July 6.
It will also allow “Cool for the Summer,” which is officially the format’s #28 song, to continue soaring up the airplay chart.
Picked up by 13 stations, X Ambassadors’ “Renegades” ranks as this week’s second-most added track. The new wave of support comes as the alternative crossover approaches the airplay chart’s Top 25.
Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You (featuring John Legend)” earns third-most added on the strength of its 12 pickups, while OMI’s “Cheerleader” and U2’s “Song for Someone” tie for fourth-most added. Each song earned 9 monitored adds.
