Demi Lovato’s “Cool for the Summer” Debuts as Pop Radio’s #25 Song

Thanks to significant early interest — and first day support from iHeartRadio — Demi Lovato’s new “Cool for the Summer” debuts impressively on the pop radio airplay chart.

The song lands at #25 on Mediabase’s official pop radio airplay chart. It becomes Lovato’s fifth song — and third straight — to reach the Top 25.

Notable about the debut position is the fact that it is attributable to an abbreviated week of airplay. The official tracking week runs from June 28-July 4; “Cool for the Summer” did not officially launch until July 1.

Despite that mid-week launch, it still amassed ~2,840 spins within the official tracking week.

Since Billboard’s radio chart will account for an extra day of airplay, one should anticipate an even higher debut on this week’s Pop Songs chart.
