The song, which is already one of Hot AC’s 40 most played songs, earns the format’s most added honor this week.
According to Mediabase, “Shots” received adds from 19 monitored Hot AC stations this week. No other song fared as well.
Closest was OMI’s “Cheerleader.” The multi-format summer hit earns second-most added on the strength of its 16 Hot AC pickups.
Rob Thomas’ “Trust You,” which was last week’s most added song, claims third-most added this week. It won support from another 14 stations.
The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” follows as fourth-most added thanks to its 11 pickups.
Each added by 9 stations, American Authors’ “Go Big or Go Home,” Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Invincible” tie for fifth-most added.
