Spun enthusiastically since its formal launch this Monday, Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” rockets to #14 on the official Mediabase pop airplay chart.
Up sixty six places from last week’s position, which came before Sunday night’s launch of the music video and Kendrick Lamar remix, “Bad Blood” earns #14 on the strength of approximately 6,500 weekly pop spins.
That count, which was calculated during the May 17-23 tracking week, bests last week’s tally by 6,392 spins. No song enjoyed a weekly gain even half as great.
Thanks to ample airplay in high-profile markets, “Bad Blood” earned 47.593 million weekly audience impressions. That is pop’s eleventh-largest weekly audience total.
While “Bad Blood” did benefit from promotional iHeartMedia airplay on May 18, it held up impressively for the remainder of the week.
— Not simply a pop offering, “Bad Blood” is also rocketing up the hot adult contemporary and rhythmic airplay charts. It reaches #18 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase Hot AC chart (~1,756 spins) and lands comfortably within the Top 40 at rhythmic.
