“The Mindy Project” has officially been confirmed for a fourth season.
That fourth season will not, however, air on FOX.
Hulu confirmed Friday that it has picked up the recently cancelled FOX comedy. That pickup includes an order for 26 fourth season episodes.
Since 2012, Hulu has held exclusive streaming rights to “Mindy.” It refers to the series as a “top performer” on its streaming network.
“Mindy has been a beloved member of the Hulu family, so this deal is a natural extension of our relationship,” says Hulu’s Craig Erwichu “With so many of her fans already catching up and tuning in to the series on Hulu, we know her millions of fans will be eager to find out what Mindy has in store for the next chapter.”
“I am thrilled The Mindy Project has found a new home on Hulu, where so many of our fans are already watching the show. It’s such an exciting place to be,” adds Kaling.
Hulu has yet to confirm a premiere date for the fourth season. Once that comes, however, the streaming network will have the option to order additional seasons of the acclaimed comedy.
