Update: According to final broadcast data, Thursday’s “Reign” held steady in adults 18-49 and slipped in total viewership.
The episode, which was the final broadcast of the show’s second season, drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 0.84 million total viewers. Last week’s episode posted the same 0.3 but reached an overall audience of 0.97 million.
The week-over-week “Reign” decline came despite a week-over-week improvement for lead-in “The Vampire Diaries.”
Thursday’s “TVD,” which was both the season finale and the final episode for Nina Dobrev, posted a 0.7 with 1.44 million viewers. Last week’s edition drew a 0.6 with 1.32 million.

According to that fast national data, Thursday’s episode of The CW’s second-year drama drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating with 866,000 viewers. Last week’s installment posted a 0.3 in the coveted young adults demographic but a stronger 0.97 million viewership average.
The CW led into “Reign” with the season finale of “The Vampire Diaries.”
The episode, which also paid farewell to Nina Dobrev’s Elena, drew a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 1.45 million viewers. Both numbers were up slightly from those of last week’s broadcast, which drew a 0.6 with 1.32 million.
