Gigi Hadid’s Rep Confirms Cody Simpson Break Up; Hadid’s “Bad Blood” Character Confirmed

Model Gigi Hadid is making a second appearance in the news Saturday.

Following news that Hadid will play “Slay-Z” in Taylor Swift’s celebrity-heavy “Bad Blood” video comes confirmation that she has ended her relationship with singer Cody Simpson.

“Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career,” says Hadid’s rep in a statement issued to the media. “They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future.”

The statement adds that they remain friends and mutual supporters — in essence, there is no “Bad Blood” between the two.

This is not the first separation for the couple. Last year, news broke that the duo had ended its relationship; that severance was also attributed to busy schedules.
