Ratings Update: CW’s “Reign” Adds Viewers as “Vampire Diaries” Climbs from Low

Update: Final broadcast data confirms that Thursday’s “Reign” enjoyed a week-over-week gain in total viewership. Lead-in “The Vampire Diaries” rose in both adults 18-49 and viewers.

The penultimate second season “Reign” drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 970,000 viewers. Last week’s broadcast posted the same 0.3 rating but reached only 840,000 total audience members.

One-time The CW flagship “The Vampire Diaries” posted a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating with 1.32 million viewers. Both numbers top those of last week’s broadcast, which posted a series low 0.5 rating to go along with its series low 1.21 million viewership mark.

Both shows have been renewed for next season.

Airing out of an improved “The Vampire Diaries,” The CW’s “Reign” enjoyed an uptick in total viewership.

Per fast national data, Thursday’s episode drew a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 964,000 total viewers. The demo mark was even with that of last week’s broadcast, but the viewership total reflects a 15% increase in audience size.

Last week’s “Reign” drew a 0.3 with 840,000 viewers.

8PM lead-in “The Vampire Diaries,” which set a series low last week (0.5, 1.21 million), improved in both measures this week. Thursday’s episode delivered a 0.6 with 1.31 million.
