Zac Brown Band’s “Heavy is the Head” Hits #1 at Rock Radio

No stranger to the top of the country radio airplay chart, Zac Brown Band this week reaches #1 at rock radio.

The band’s “Heavy is the Head (featuring Chris Cornell),” which was promoted exclusively to rock formats, claims #1 on the official Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

Cut from ZBB’s forthcoming “Jekyll + Hyde,” “Heavy” earns #1 on the strength of the ~1,995 spins it received during the April 19-25 tracking week. The song was #3 on last week’s listing.

The Pretty Reckless’ “Follow Me Down,” which reached #1 on this past week’s Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, holds at #2 on Mediabase’s active rock listing (~1,797 spins). The Offspring’s “Coming for You” (#3, ~1,782), Breaking Benjamin’s “Failure” (#4, ~1,613) and Slash’s “Bent to Fly” (#5, ~1,331) complete the weekly top five.
