Despite receiving airplay and promotional support from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It (featuring Kid Ink)” has been unable to catch fire at rhythmic radio.
It never seemed to receive the monstrous day-to-day airplay gains that often accompany “On the Verge” picks, and it already appears to be fading on the Mediabase rhythmic airplay chart.
The song does, however, reach a new peak on this week’s edition of the Billboard Rhythmic Songs chart.
Up six places, “Worth It” earns the #29 position on the latest listing.
Enough to earn the song a Top 30 position, the weekly spin count of 703 bests last week’s sum by a mere 52 spins. That modest gain speaks to the song’s struggle to truly erupt at rhythmic radio.
“Worth it” is not, however, exclusive to the rhythmic format. The single is showing life at pop radio, and it rises to a new peak of #31 (+2) on this week’s Billboard Pop Songs chart.
Per Billboard, the song received 2,003 pop spins during the most recent tracking period. That bests last week’s mark by a solid 469 plays.
More than a mere radio track, “Worth It” holds solid positions on the Billboard Digital Songs and Hot 100 charts.
“Worth It” is the follow-up to Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer,” which reached the Top 25 on Pop Songs and the Top 40 on the Hot 100.
