Neither the Easter holiday nor a deflated “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” lead-in prevented E! freshman “The Royals” from posting week-over-week gains in adults 18-49 and total viewership.
Sunday’s episode drew a 0.51 rating with 1.12 million viewers. While not as high as those posted two weeks ago, the numbers top the 0.33 rating and 0.825 million viewership mark posted by the previous installment.
“Kardashians,” meanwhile, endured another week-over-week decline. After posting a 0.99 rating with 1.891 million viewers last week, the flagship E! reality series settled for a 0.94 with 1.842 million viewers this week.
That “The Royals” rose in the circumstance lends credence to the idea that last week’s fall was driven, at least partially, by the “The Walking Dead” finale. Since last week’s “TWD” ran for 90 minutes, it competed against the first half of “The Royals.”
