A solid seller since its summer 2014 release, Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” has already spent some time in the Billboard Hot 100.
Now that it is an official single — and benefiting from a buzzworthy video and strong early support from radio programmers — it is poised to establish a considerably more impressive (and more regular) presence on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100 chart.
By establishing a new peak position on this week’s chart, “Dear Future Husband” provides immediate illustration for that notion.
Absent from last week’s chart, it claims #47 on this week’s listing.
Prior to this week, which represents the song’s tenth non-consecutive one on the Hot 100, “Dear Future Husband” had gone as high as #64.
The third official single from Trainor’s “Title,” “Dear Future Husband” aims to follow in the impressive footsteps of her hits “Lips are Movin” and “All About That Bass.” Direct predecessor “Lips” reached the top five, while Trainor’s breakthrough single “Bass” spent an impressive eight weeks at #1.
