Not merely able to sustain last week’s music video-driven gain, Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” actually improves its position on this week’s Hot 100.
Thanks largely to the streaming benefit associated with the recent music video release, “One Last Time” blasted into the Top 40 on last week’s chart. It earned a new peak position of #34.
This week, the song improves to #30.
Notable about the rise is that it comes in conjunction with a corresponding rise on the Streaming Songs subchart. Even though the song did not benefit from the launch of the music video this week the way it did last week, it still rises three places to #22 on Streaming.
— As Ariana Grande celebrates her latest Top 30 hit, two other acts get to celebrate new Top 40s.
Nick Jonas and Big Sean, those artists, earn placement at #34 and #36, respectively.
Nick Jonas’ #34 position comes courtesy “Chains,” which rises eight places on this week’s chart. The Hot 100 rise comes in conjunction with a big jump on the Digital Songs (single sales) subchart. There, “Chains” vaults seven positions to #14.
Big Sean hits #36 courtesy “Blessings (featuring Drake).” The song was #68 on last week’s listing.
— Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song,” which has peaked as high as #34, re-enters the Top 40 at #37 this week (+9).
