There is impressive, and then there is the way FOX’s “Empire” has been performing in the ratings.
Since premiering on January 7, the series has achieved the exceedingly rare feat of increasing its viewership with each passing episode. And while it did suffer one weekly setback in adults 18-49, its overall trajectory has been an upward one. Last Wednesday’s episode hit a series high 4.8 adults 18-49 rating to go along with its series high viewership average of 11.96 million.
The upward movement continued this week. Wednesday’s edition of “Empire” set new high marks in adults 18-49 and total viewership.
Per fast national data, the episode delivered a 5.1 adults 18-49 rating with 12.94 million viewers.
That means it has enjoyed six consecutive weeks of viewership growth.
It also means the episode easily ranked as Wednesday night’s top-rated and most-watched program.
