In Thursday’s press release, the Recording Academy confirmed Katy Perry as the “final” addition to its performer lineup for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
That it is done announcing performers for the show does not mean it is done making announcements altogether.
In a press release Friday, the academy and CBS jointly confirmed a list of presenters for the Sunday, February 8 awards show.
Some presenters had personally confirmed their involvement in advance of the press release. Some likely represented obvious candidates to hand out trophies. Some might surprise music fans.
According to CBS, “This year’s presenters, which include GRAMMY® nominees, previous winners and stars from film and TV, are: GRAMMY Award nominee Dierks Bentley; actor and late night TV host James Corden; Academy Award® and GRAMMY Award winner Jamie Foxx; nine-time GRAMMY Award winner Barry Gibb; 15-time GRAMMY Award winner Dave Grohl; and Academy and GRAMMY Award winner as well as current nominee Jennifer Hudson.
“Additional presenters include four-time Latin GRAMMY® Award winner and GRAMMY Award winner Enrique Iglesias; singer Nick Jonas; actress Anna Kendrick; actor Shia LaBeouf; actress Katharine McPhee; Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow; current nominees Pentatonix; GRAMMY Award winner Smokey Robinson; three-time GRAMMY Award winner Nile Rodgers; Golden Globe Award® winner Gina Rodriguez; seven-time GRAMMY Award winner and current nominee Taylor Swift; current nominee Meghan Trainor; four-time GRAMMY Award winner Keith Urban; singer The Weeknd; and GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and 25-time GRAMMY Award winner Stevie Wonder.”
