Hot Country: Luke Bryan’s “I See You” Hits #4; Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett Rise

“I See You,” the latest single from country superstar Luke Bryan, continues to climb the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

The song, which recently extended Bryan’s streak of consecutive top five hits to thirteen, rises to a new peak of #4 on the latest edition of Billboard’s all-encompassing country songs chart.

Thanks to the week’s greatest airplay gain, it also enjoys a boost to #6 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Despite being the sixth single from his “Crash My Party,” “I See You” is moving at a faster pace than is typical for many artists’ lead singles. Its #6 position on the airplay chart comes after only ten weeks on the chart.

— Other songs on the rise this week:

Kenny Chesney’s “Til it’s Gone” rises three places to #8 (a peak)
Thomas Rhett’s “Make Me Wanna” rises three places to #9 (a peak)
Chris Young’s “Lonely Eyes” rises one place to #13 (a peak)
Brett Eldredge’s “Mean to Me” rises two places to #14 (a peak)
Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” rises seven places to #15 (a peak)
Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy” rises four places to #16 (a peak)
Darius Rucker’s “Homegrown Honey” rises two places to #17 (a peak)
Cole Swindell’s “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” rises seven places to #19 (a peak)
Chase Bryant’s “Take it On Back” rises four places to #21 (a peak)
Jake Owen’s “What We Ain’t Got” rises one place to #22 (a peak)
Tyler Farr’s “A Guy Walks Into a Bar” rises one place to #23 (a peak)
Dierks Bentley’s “Say You Do” rises three places to #25 (a peak)

— Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” leads the chart for a sixth total week. It has now spent as much time on top as Underwood’s debut country single “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” which had spent remained her longest-reigning Hot Country song.

Worth noting? “Jesus, Take the Wheel” reigned over Hot Country Songs when it was purely an airplay chart. It now takes into account sales and streaming.
