Pitbull’s “Time of Our Lives” Ranks as Pop’s Most-Added, Ed Sheeran Follows

Pitbull’s “Time of Our Lives (featuring Ne-Yo)” is already a top 25 hit at pop radio, and based on the massive wave of support it received from pop programmers this week, it is likely to keep flying higher.

According to Mediabase, “Time” won support from 61 monitored stations to ran as the pop format’s most-added song.

Undeniably resonant with pop programmers, “Time of Our Lives” was not, however, the only high-profile track to make a mark on the format this week.

Ed Sheeran’s surefire radio smash “Thinking Out Loud,” which is up to #17 on the pop airplay chart, scored adds from a whopping 59 stations this week. That support allows “Thinking” to register as second-most-added; James Newton Howard’s top fifteen hit “The Hanging Tree (featuring Jennifer Lawrence)” follows in third place with a healthy 52 adds.

Prince Royce’s “On the Verge” track “Stuck on a Feeling (featuring Snoop Dogg)” grabs fourth-most-added on the strength of its 43 pickups, while 5 Seconds of Summer’s “What I Like About You” lands in the fifth-most-added position. It scored 33 weekly pop adds.

Other hot pop selections this week: Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’ “Prayer in C” (6th-most-added, 29 adds), Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding)” (7th-most-added, 28 adds), Usher’s “I Don’t Mind (featuring Juicy J)” (8th-most-added, 22 adds), Jessie J’s “Masterpiece” (9th-most-added, 20 adds) and Ella Henderson’s “Ghost” (10th-most-added, 17 adds).

Songs that formally impacted this week include the aforementioned “Masterpiece” (20 adds), Avicii’s “The Nights” (15 adds) and (reportedly, per Mediabase/All Access) Ne-Yo’s “She Knows (featuring Juicy J)” (11 adds).

Seventh-most-added overall, Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding)” fared particularly well with major market programmers. A recap of those adds follows:
