An entertaining personality and performer, Nicki Minaj always makes for a welcome talk show guest. Give her the added incentive of promoting a new album, and you have yourself a shortcut to an entertaining television program.
The Tuesday edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” seizes that opportunity. Minaj visits the iconic late night show to discuss her new album “The Pinkprint.” She also performs a musical number in support of the release, which is tracking to rank as the week’s best-selling newcomer (albeit with an underwhelming total).
“Tonight” is one of several NBC Universal platforms to provide promotional support for Minaj’s new LP. The pop/hip-hop superstar previously appeared on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” and “TODAY” and will topline the Wednesday edition of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”
Taped Tuesday afternoon, the latest “Tonight Show” also features Christoph Waltz. It airs at 11:35PM ET.
