Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight” Ranks as Country’s Most-Added (Updated)

Update: With 58 monitored Mediabase adds, Blake Shelton’s new single “Lonely Tonight” ranks as the country format’s most-added song.

After landing beneath Luke Bryan’s “I See You” last week, Jason Aldean’s “Just Gettin’ Started” find itself in the shadow of Shelton’s song this week. It repeats as second-most-added with 44 more pickups.

Bryan’s “I See You” is third-most-added with 38 pickups, while Brantley Gilbert’s impacting “One Hell of an Amen” follows with 31 adds. Eric Paslay’s “She Don’t Love You” grabs the fifth-most-added position with additions from 23 stations.

Aiming to become the singer’s fourteenth-consecutive #1 hit, Blake Shelton’s “Lonely Tonight (featuring Ashley Monroe)” picked up a healthy dose of country radio adds this week.

According to Mediabase, the follow-up to “Neon Light” won support from 58 monitored stations. That total ranks as the week’s best.

Certain to be a high-flier at the country format, the new release is already up to #44 on Mediabase’s rolling country airplay chart. It claims the position on the strength of the 652 spins it received between November 10 and 16.
