The Verdict is In: NBC’s “Bad Judge,” “A to Z” are Cancelled

Thursday night, NBC’s freshman comedies “Bad Judge” and “A to Z” delivered their lowest adults 18-49 ratings and viewership averages no record.

By Friday night, the two shows had been officially cancelled.

NBC officially decided to pass on back nine orders for the two comedies, thus assuring none will live beyond its initial thirteen episode order. All such episodes will, however, air as planned.

Thursday, which represented the first opportunity for NBC’s comedies to air without competition from CBS’ weekly NFL broadcast, likely served as a last chance for “Bad Judge” and “A to Z.”

Airing against CBS’ modestly rated “Two and a Half Men” and “The McCarthys” rather than its blockbuster Thursday Night Football coverage, the two shows delivered their worst marks yet.

“Bad Judge” slipped to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 3.90 million viewers, while “A to Z” posted a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 2.49 million.
