Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” Officially Claims #15 at Alternative

Sonic Highways

Two weeks ago, Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” leveraged its 892 opening week spins to debut at #16 on Mediabase’s official alternative airplay chart. It was an irrefutably impressive start.

Despite not even emerging until this Thursday, Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” claims an even more impressive bow on the alternative airplay chart.

Per Mediabase’s official Sunday evening update, “Something from Nothing” starts at #15 on the weekly chart with a whopping 932 first week spins. Amassed over merely three days of airplay, the Top 15-worthy spin count is a loud testament to the appeal of Foo Fighters at the alt/modern rock format.

The song’s audience of 5.00 million was the tenth largest for the entire week.

Also relevant at the active rock format, “Something” opens at #22 on that chart with 534 spins.
