Billboard has yet to publish its official Hot 100 preview, but a celebratory Taylor Swift has already let the cat out of the bag.
Unsurprising given its continued strength on the sales, airplay and streaming charts, her new single “Shake it Off” spends a second week at #1.
Swift revealed the news by posting an iMessage screenshot on her Twitter account. Confirming Swift’s claim, Billboard quickly re-Tweeted the image.
With two weeks at #1, “Shake it Off” now ties lead “Red” single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” as the best-charting single of Swift’s career. That song reigned atop the Hot 100 for two weeks in 2012.
Launched during a Yahoo! Stream on August 18, “Shake it Off” debuted at #1 on last week’s Hot 100.
