DJ Khaled, Beyonce, Fifth Harmony Score at Urban Radio

Urban radio is making no effort to hold DJ Khaled down.

According to Mediabase, Khaled’s new “Hold You Down,” which features Chris Brown, August Alsina, Future and Jeremih, landed at 38 monitored urban stations this week to rank as the format’s most-added. The new support will provide a big boost for the song, which is currently #50 on the urban airplay chart.

Following close behind was Beyonce’s “Flawless.” Already a rapidly rising #24 on the urban airplay chart, the song scored new support from 35 monitored stations this week.

While its reception did not match that offered to the Khaled and Beyonce songs, Fifth Harmony’s crossover effort “Bo$$” still made a splash at the format. The tune, which is currently #36 on the pop airplay chart, picked up 21 monitored urban stations this week to rank as third-most-added.

With respective add counts of 17 and 15, The Weeknd’s “Often” and Red Cafe’s “Pretty Gang (featuring Fabolous)” were the format’s fourth- and fifth-most-added songs.
