MAGIC!’s “Rude” Tops Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” for #1 on Hot 100

Say goodbye to the “Fancy” era because the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 just got “Rude.”

Consistent with projections, MAGIC!’s breakthrough hit “Rude” officially reaches #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. In making the ascent, it becomes the first #1 for a Canadian band since Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me” ruled for four weeks in 2001-2002.

The rise of “Rude” naturally forces the fall of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX).” After seven weeks at number one, the Australian rapper’s breakthrough track slips to #2 on the Hot 100.

Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” holds tight at number three, while Nico and Vinz’ “Am I Wrong” and Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” retain the latter two respective slots in the Top 5.

Jason DeRulo’s #6 “Wiggle (featuring Snoop Dogg)” leads John Legend’s “All of Me” and Maroon 5’s “Maps,” which rise to #7 and #8, respectively.

Calvin Harris’ “Summer” slips to #9 this week, while Disclosure’s “Latch (featuring Sam Smith)” enters the Top 10 at #10.
