American Idol Elimination Brings Un- “Happy” Ending for Majesty Rose

Odds are strong that the lyrics of her results show reprise no longer capture her mood.

Majesty Rose, once deemed the strongest female contender in this year’s “American Idol” competition, has finally been eliminated.

A member of the bottom three for the third consecutive week, Rose was, this time, unable to escape its shackles. She was revealed as the week’s lowest vote-getter, and after an energetic but vocally consistent reprise of her semifinals performance “Happy,” the judges refrained from keeping her in the competition.

Rose, who performed “Shake it Out” on Wednesday’s Top 9 performance show, was joined by Sam Woolf and CJ Harris in the bottom three.

With Rose out of the mix, those left in FOX’s competition include Woolf, Harris, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Malaya Watson, Dexter Roberts and Alex Preston. A high-resolution photo follows:
