Celeste “Kaitlyn” Bonin has officially parted ways with WWE, the performer and company announced in statements Wednesday.
Bonin, who rose to stardom after winning the third season of NXT, confirmed that she left WWE on her “own terms.”
“Today is bittersweet,” Tweeted the Diva. “I’ve officially left @WWE on my own terms. Much love to WWE and all of you guys.”
She later added, “Reading all your messages is an overwhelming experience. Thanks everyone…On an unrelated note my eyes are watering. damn allergies.”
WWE, meanwhile, customarily wished the Diva the best in her future endeavors.
“As of Jan. 8, Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) will no longer be under contract with WWE. The former Divas Champion has chosen to pursue other endeavors outside the sports-entertainment world. WWE wishes Kaitlyn the best in all her future endeavors,” said the promotion in a statement.
The Diva’s final WWE match, a taped bout with AJ Lee, will air on Wednesday’s Main Event.
