“Glee” Ratings Hit Series Low for “Puppet Master” Thanksgiving Episode

Having spent the past few non-holiday episodes in series low territory, it was a given “Glee” would find a new ratings bottom for this week’s episode.

Airing on Thanksgiving sans a Thanksgiving theme, “Puppet Master” was destined for failure. And in posting just a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 2.80 million viewers, it fulfilled that destiny.

A series low in both the young adults demo and total viewership, Thursday’s performance offers FOX nothing it can spin into a genuine positive.

“Glee” embarks on a two-month hiatus after airing “Previously Unaired Christmas,” its fall finale, next Thursday. When it comes back in late February, it will do so in its new Tuesday at 8PM timeslot.

Earlier in the night, FOX’s “The X Factor” also sang the Thanksgiving blues with a 1.0 rating and 3.75 million viewers.
