Earlier this season, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” made waves with “We Did Stop,” its government shutdown-themed parody of Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop.”
This week, the NBC variety series took a stab at Ylvis’ novelty smash “The Fox,” which recently peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100.
Entitled “My Girl,” the segment starred host Kerry Washington as a girlfriend enraged by the discovery of compromising texts on her boyfriend’s (Jay Pharoah) phone. Keeping with the spirit of the original, Pharoah’s character pondered what sound his girlfriend made.
Answers included “Yanh Yanh Yanh Yanh Yanh Yanh,” “Got You Got You Got You Pow” and “Who That Who That Who That Bitch.”
