First Look: “Scandal” Finale Brings Election, Bomb Conclusion

“Watch it live Thursday — or hate yourself Friday.”

The tagline for next week’s “Scandal” season finale might be corny, but based on the show’s reputation for bringing ample drama, it will probably prove accurate.

After all, network television’s hottest drama has already given viewers significant reason to tune in. Will Sally Langston indeed fall victim to Maya Pope’s bomb? Will Rowan Pope survive his wife’s attack? Will President Fitzgerald Grant prove he can win an election without vote tampering?

In addition to answering those questions, “Scandal” will likely adhere to its reputation of bombarding viewers with unexpected questions and even less predictable twists and turns.

In advance of the episode, ABC issued an understandably vague synopsis: “The Price of Free and Fair Elections” – Election Day has arrived and nothing is off limits as the candidates try to capture votes. Meanwhile, Olivia tries to understand Maya’s motives and Charlie makes a very surprising move, on the season finale of ABC’s “Scandal,” THURSDAY, APRIL 17 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

It also released ten production photos for Thursday’s season three finale. Click the thumbnails for the full-size images.
