AMC’s “Mad Men” Staying in the Jon Hamm Business, New Deal Signed

AMC has only officially renewed its Emmy-winning “Mad Men” through season six, but a move was made this week to improve the chances of the show scoring a seventh season.

Lionsgate TV reportedly signed Hamm to a three-year extension with the show, which would keep him on board for the fifth, sixth and seventh season. With Hamm’s Don Draper central to the show, his contract extension will prove immensely helpful in getting AMC on board with a final season after its current renewal period ends.

Deadline says the price point for the next three seasons is a healthy eight figures.

“Mad Men” returns from a lengthy hiatus next spring.
