Jonathan Brookins Wins “The Ultimate Fighter,” Full UFC TUF Finale Results

The inaugural “The Ultimate Fighter” finale, which featured the classic Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar fight, set the bar impossibly high for the live reality show season-enders. While many have featured some great fights, none have lived up to that classic first edition in the middle of last decade.

Saturday’s final matchup between Jonathan Brookins and Michael Johnson was certainly no classic, but the well-contested matchup still made for an entertaining main event.

After spending the first round tearing apart a Brookins left exposed by unprotected striking posture, Johnson appeared on track for an easy victory. But Brookins made a comeback in round two as he found success with his takedowns and delivered some vicious ground and pound.

Johnson’s wrestling defense was a bit stronger in round three, but he still had little success countering his opponent’s offense and found himself on the losing end of a decision.

Also on the show: Stephan Bonnar returned to the semi-annual show that made him famous, while “TUF” semi-finalist Nam Phan fought Leonard Garcia to a hotly-debated decision in the “fight of the night.” Full results follow:
