Two lingering television series received their expected doses of bad news this week, as pessimistic news was delivered to “Three Rivers” and “Raising the Bar.”
In the case of “Raising the Bar,” TNT’s legal drama, the news was an all-out cancellation.
“Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on ‘Raising the Bar’ with Steven Bochco and the rest of the show’s terrific cast and crew. We’re proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings for ‘Raising the Bar’s’ second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series,” read a statement from TNT.
CBS’ freshman series “Three Rivers” was dealt a slightly softer blow, with the network only confirming that it has removed the series from its schedule. Nonetheless, the combination of the show’s disappointing ratings, poor reviews and the latest announcement pretty much seals the deal that episodes beyond the initial thirteen-segment order will not be requested.
