“Backspacer,” the latest album from veteran grunge rock group Pearl Jam, is on pace to lead the album sales charts next week.
According to tracking released by Billboard, “Backspacer” will land in the 200,000 range and be America’s top-selling album.
And though it might face strong holdover competition from acts like Jay-Z, it will greatly outpace any albums debuting on the charts this week.
Other notable new album releases include Three Days Grace’s “Life Starts Now” (80-85,000 sales projected), Brand New’s “Daisy” (45-50,000), Five Finger Death Punch’s “War is the Answer” (35-40,000), David Gray’s “Draw the Line” (30-35,000), Harry Connick, Jr.’s “Your Songs” (30-35,000), Mika’s “The Boy Who Knew Too Much” (25-30,000), Monsters of Folk’s “Monsters of Folk” (25-30,000) and Sean Kingston’s “Tomorrow” (15-18,000).
