— In the post-UFC 100 press conference, Dana White reiterated that he views Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar as family because of the contribution their epic TUF1 finale fight made to the sport. Even though Bonnar’s UFC 100 loss to Mark Coleman was a big setback, White made it very clear that Bonnar is not going anywhere–he will continue to have opportunities in the Octagon.
— While nothing definitive was said of Mac Danzig’s status following his third consecutive UFC loss, the belief is that the former “Ultimate Fighter” winner will also return to the Octagon. Danzig reportedly got over as a huge star for his resilience in defeat to Jim Miller, and prior to the Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher fight, there was talk that Miller-Danzig was an obvious candidate for Fight of the Night.
— White did not formally confirm the Dan Henderson vs. Anderson Silva rematch, noting that a final decision will not be made until after Silva’s upcoming fight against Forrest Griffin and after the match between Middleweight contenders Demian Maia and Nate Marquardt.
— Similar, White did not establish an opponent for UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. He said that the winner of Shane Carwin vs. Cain Velasquez would be in line for a title shot, but he did not confirm that Lesnar will not defend his belt against another challenger in the meantime.
