The biggest non-sports television event of the season commands great media and fan attention; this year’s “American Idol” also attracted a diverse cast of entertainment celebrities and former “Idol” contestants, all of whom watched live as Arkansas native Kris Allen defeated Adam Lambert to become the eighth “Idol” winner.
