Update: The rumors were true.
In a Tuesday evening Tweet, Ariana Grande confirmed that her new single “No Tears Left To Cry” will be released on Friday, April 20.
The song title, notably, appears upside down in Grande’s Tweet. The upside-down font has been part of the viral marketing campaign leading up to the release. Victoria Monet and Frankie Grande both posted photos wearing shirts with “no tears left to cry” upside down. Grande’s Twitter location (“honeymoon ave”) also appears in that format.

Earlier this week, Hits Daily Double reported that Ariana Grande would be releasing her new single on April 27.
Citing “inside sources,” the publication now says that the single could be coming earlier.
Team Grande is now eyeing an April 20 release date for the eagerly anticipated new song.
There is logic behind the move: labelmate Post Malone will be releasing his “Beerbongs & Bentleys” album on April 27, and there is no reason to risk either project taking attention from the other.
The new single will be part of Grande’s upcoming fourth studio album.
