The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” Reaches Platinum In UK; “Closer” Now Silver

The Chainsmokers received a double dose of UK certifications this week.

The BPI announced that the duo’s “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya)” earned a platinum certification. New single “Closer (featuring Halsey)” is now silver.

Under the terms of the BPI certification program, the platinum honor confirms a UK unit total of 600,000. In going silver, “Closer” boasts a unit total in excess of 200,000.

“Don’t Let Me Down” is The Chainsmokers’ first platinum-certified single in the UK. “Closer” is now one of two singles with a silver certification; “#SELFIE” also holds that honor.

The EDM duo additionally possesses a gold certification for “Roses (featuring ROZES).”
