Eric Church’s “Record Year” Reaches Gold Status In The United States

In late July, Eric Church’s “Record Year” reached #1 at country radio.

On August 10, 2016, the “Mr. Misunderstood” single earned a gold certification from the RIAA.

The gold certification, which is Church’s first RIAA award since December 2014, confirms a US unit total of at least 500,000. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Record Year” peaked at #44 on the Billboard Hot 100.
