Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Takes #1 at Alt Radio; Nathaniel Rateliff, Coleman Hell Top 5

Going into the November 1-7 tracking week, Cold War Kids’ “First” had led the Mediabase alternative airplay chart for six straight weeks (and seven weeks overall).

It does not extend that streak.

Thanks to a weekly spin count of ~2,910 (+220), twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out” rises to the top spot on this week’s chart. The song, which was #2 on last week’s listing, becomes the duo’s first career #1 at the alternative format.

“First” slips to the runner-up spot. Its weekly spin count of ~2,842 nonetheless tops last week’s mark by 62.

Up one place, Death Cab For Cutie’s “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive” follows at #3. It received ~2,253 weekly plays (+104).

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats’ “S.O.B.” and Coleman Hell’s “2 Heads” complete the Top 5.

Up two places, “S.O.B.,” which recently received support from iHeartRadio’s “On The Verge” program, takes #4 on the strength of ~2,159 weekly plays (+103). A weekly spin count of ~2,079 (+146) allows “2 Heads” to reach #5. It was #8 on last week’s chart.
