Leona Lewis’ “Thunder” Debuted with 2.2K First Week US Sales

Leona Lewis’ new single “Thunder,” which is beginning to make a run at hot adult contemporary radio, debuted with a modest first week sales total.

According to Nielsen Music, “Thunder” shifted 2,225 paid US downloads during the July 24-30 tracking week.

Penned by Lewis and Toby Gad, “Thunder” is the third track to emerge from Leona Lewis’ forthcoming “I Am.” It serves as the project’s lead single in the US and is currently being promoted at Hot AC radio.

Spun 159 times during the July 26-August 1 tracking week (+129), it claims the #50 spot on Mediabase’s official Hot AC airplay chart.
