Ratings: FX’s “The Strain” Slips to New Viewership Low

This week’s “The Strain” had effectively no chance of matching the numbers delivered by the previous week’s season premiere. And insofar as the previous week’s season premiere set a viewership low, this week’s episode was inevitably going to set another new low.

Though slight, the week two drop-off did occur. As a result, the second episode of the show’s second season ranks as the least-watched episode yet.

Sunday’s broadcast posted a 0.74 adults 18-49 rating with 1.625 million viewers. The previous episode scored a 0.78 with 1.664 million.

While down from last year’s marks, “The Strain” is still performing well by FX — and general cable — standards.
